METHOD OF ALIGNING THRUST AXIS OF LAUNCH VEHICLE, USING INCLINOMETERS

A method for aligning a thrust axis of a launch apparatus is provided to reduce a cost and to improving efficiency and accuracy by attaching an inclinometer at the launch apparatus. A method for aligning a thrust axis of a launch apparatus by using an inclinometer comprises the steps: installing a standard inclinometer bracket at the launch apparatus of which the other surface to be perpendicularly crossed to a shaft of the launch apparatus; installing an alignment inclinometer bracket to a nozzle; computing an angle between the shaft of the launch apparatus and the shaft vertically crossed with an earth axis; computing the angle between a nozzle axis and the shaft vertically crossed with the earth axis; and regulating the nozzle axis for difference of the angle between the nozzle axis and the shaft vertically crossed with the earth axis. The standard inclinometer is installed at the one surface of the standard inclinometer bracket. The alignment inclinometer is mounted at one surface of the alignment inclinometer bracket.
