LIGHT EMISSION DEVICE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME AS BACK LIGHT UNIT

A light emitting apparatus and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) using the same as a backlight unit are provided to equip a heat diffusion plate for transmitting the light beam on the first substrate, thereby effectively radiating the heat emitted from the light emitting apparatus. First and second substrates(12,14) are located oppositely to each other. An electron-emission unit(110) is provided to the inside surface of the first substrate. A fluorescent layer(34) is formed at the inside of the second substrate and is radiated by electrons emitted from the electron-emission unit. An anode electrode(36) is formed at a side of the fluorescent layer. A heat radiating plate(20) is formed at the first substrate. A heat diffusion plate(22) is formed on the second substrate, connected with the heat radiating plate so that the light beam irradiated from the fluorescent layer is transmitted. The heat diffusion plate is continuously formed to the first and second substrates. The heat radiating plate is located at the outside of the heat diffusion plate formed at the first substrate. The heat diffusion plate is formed transparently and made of ceramic materials. The ceramic material is at least one of aluminum oxide and titanium oxide.
