<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device capable of improving the usability of a volume remarkably, and to provide a data protecting method. <P>SOLUTION: A host device is provided with a first virtual volume, a storage area of a required capacity is dynamically allocated to the first volume in response to a write access request given from the host device to the first volume, write data given from the host device is stored in the storage area, and an access attribute representing the acceptance/rejection of the access is set in the storage area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
