SYSTEM FOR ESTIMATING PICTURE QUALITY OF THE TFT-LCD MODULE AND METHOD THEREFOR

A system and a method for evaluating picture quality of a TFT-LCD(Thin Film Transistor-Liquid Crystal Display) module are provided to offer objective and quantitative evaluation testing and automatically determine whether a module is defective or not according to the results. An image controller(110) displays a test pattern on a TFT-LCD module according to resolution information of each TFT-LCD module. An image acquiring unit(120) acquires the test pattern from a camera of high resolution to evaluate sub-pixels of the TFT-LCD module. An image processing unit(130) extracts an RGB(Red, Green and Blue) image from the image acquired by the image acquiring unit(120) and extracts defective pixels of the TFT-LCD module based on the extracted RGB image.
