COLORING MATERIAL MICROPARTICLE DISPERSION, TONER FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHY AND METHOD FOR FORMING IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrophotography enabling good coloring while keeping good antistatic characteristics, having high chroma and excellent in light resistance by adequately including a coloring material microparticle dispersion excellent in disperse stability and a metal chelate dye as microparticles in the toner and to provide an image-forming method by using the toner. SOLUTION: The coloring material microparticle dispersion is characterized in that a metal chelate dye exhibits a state dissolved in an aqueous solution in a ratio of 5-50 mass% based on the total content at 25°C, when preparing the coloring material microparticle dispersion containing at least dispersed metal chelate dye and a surfactant by adding water thereto so that the concentration of the surfactant becomes 10 mass% aqueous solution.
