PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral processing device of a glass tube by which the glass tube can automatically be processed into a uniform spiral shape by improving the shape of a wind-up drum, and uniforming the temperature of the glass tube to be heated with a burner. SOLUTION: The spiral processing device of the glass tube comprises: a heating means for heating a glass tube conveyed by a conveying roller mechanism; and a rotary wind-up drum around which the glass tube acquiring plasticity through heating is wound. On the surface of the wind-up drum, the glass tube is wound-up, so as to be stored. Its cross-section has a V-shape, and the bottom part of the V-shape is provided with spiral grooves each having a groove space, and vertical grooves are provided in a plurality of strips at prescribed intervals to the rotary axis direction of the wind-up drum so as to divide the spiral grooves in a circumferential direction. The spiral processing of a glass tube is made by moving the wind-up drum to the axial direction while winding the glass around the wind-up drum. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
