Removal of mercury using cold-induced biomass of pseudomonas fluorescens BM07 is provided to control biologically the mercury pollution region due to psychrotrophs producing the induced water insoluble outside biomacromolecule. A method for producing the colloid type polypeptide having excellent heavy metal absorption comprises a step for cultivating psychrotrophs Pseudomonas fluorescens BM07 strain at a low temperature. The colloid type polypeptide is produced from the culture fluid.
