Powder coating spray apparatus (60} comprising: an inlet connected to a powder feed line (4); an electric charger (22); a powder channel (26) leading from the inlet to an outlet opening (30); an electrode (28) having one end arranged centrally in the outlet opening and leading from the electric charger (22) to the outlet opening. A splitter (25) splits the powder channel into three or more powder channels (26) surrounding the electrode (28). With the apparatus according to the invention the interior of a container having a longitudinal axis can be coated by spraying a powder coating material evenly distributed in a spraying cone pattern by moving the spray outlet opening along the longitudinal axis of the container.
