The method for wrapping confectionery products provides to transfer to a folding station (6) the products (2) partially wrapped with a respective wrapping sheet (20) having longitudinal edges (21, 22) protruding from the product (2). During the transfer step, at least one of said protruding longitudinal edges (21, 22) of the wrapping sheet (20) engages sliding abutment means (30) suitable to maintain the same longitudinal edges (21, 22) spaced. Between the protruding longitudinal edges (21, 22) of the wrapping sheet (20), abutment means (17) are then interposed, suitable to cooperate with fold means (10) at a longitudinal plane (B) of said product (2). The abutment means (17) are removed in suitable step relationship with the completion of the folding of the edges (21, 22), in order to allow the union between welding zones of the folded edges (21, 22). |
