The invention relates to a drive unit (1) for a vehicle, comprising an internal combustion engine (2), a device (30) for recovering heat from an exothermic component or an exothermic assembly, especially an outlet system (4), the component or the assembly adjoining at least one space (6) through which air flows or at least partially being surrounded by the space (6) through which air flows, at least one inlet region (7) of the space (6) through which air flows being in fluid connection with a compressor (9) and at least one outlet region (8) being in fluid connection with a hot air turbine (10). In order to simplify the recovery of the exhaust heat and make it more efficient, the compressor (9) is drivingly connected to the hot air turbine (10) preferably via a common shaft (13). |
