PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation structure and a method for constructing a foundation capable of limiting an inclination of a building even when the ground liquefies and reducing seismic response.SOLUTION: A foundation structure comprises: a foundation body 3 connected to a building body (a superstructure) 2 of a building 1; a weight adjustment layer 5 arranged between the foundation body 3 and the ground G; and a plurality of pile bodies 6 extended in a manner that penetrates the weight adjustment layer 5 into the ground G below the same. The pile body 6 has: a permeable bag (an outer face material) 61 which forms an outer face of the pile body 6; and a plurality of sandbag materials 62 layered inside the bag 61. The sandbag material 62 is configured by packing granular materials in a permeable sandbag which has predetermined dimensions. With the weight adjustment layer 5, the foundation structure can prevent a foundation from being floated by excessive buoyant force by balancing between the buoyant force due to excess pour pressure when the ground G liquefies and a weight of a whole building. |
