The present invention relates to a battery management system having a self-diagnosis function and a method for controlling the same, and more particularly, to a battery management system having a self-diagnosis function, which includes: a battery that is electrically connected to one or more battery cells; and a BMS that autonomously diagnoses one or more sensors for detecting a voltage, a temperature, and a current of the battery, and outputs whether the sensors are abnormal on a display, wherein the BMS may convert an electric signal output from a plurality of sensors into a set electric signal, and may determine whether the sensors are malfunctioned by comparing the electric signal with a set range, so that management of the battery is easy and malfunction of the battery is prevented. |
