PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passbook printer and a passbook page mark reading method capable of reducing page mark reading errors and reading failures even if a passbook deforms so that a white level reading position or a page mark is made into a shadow.SOLUTION: A passbook printer reads a white level from a linear area extending in a transport direction while moving a passbook in the transport direction; acquires a slice level from the read white level; reads a page mark while moving the passbook in the transport direction; compares the read page mark with the acquired slice level; and thereby determines a page of the read page mark. Therefore, it is possible to provide the passbook printer and a passbook page mark reading method capable of reducing page mark reading errors and reading failures even if a passbook deforms so that a white level reading position or a page mark is made into a shadow. |
