PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device capable of improving light-coupling efficiency from a light-emitting element to a light-transmitting member, having high luminous efficiency, and achieving high-brightness light emission.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device comprises: a light-transmitting member 20 comprising a light-emitting surface 90 and a light-receiving surface; a light-emitting element 10 comprising an outgoing surface facing to the light-receiving surface and joined to the light-transmitting member 20; and a light-guiding member 30 for guiding emitted light from the light-emitting element 10 to the light-transmitting member 20, which is provided so as to extend from a surface of the light-emitting element 10 to a surface of the light-transmitting member 20. The light-guiding member 30 comprises: a joining area in which the outgoing surface of the light-emitting element 10 and the light-receiving surface of the light-transmitting member 20 are joined so as to be facing each other; and a first covering area for covering one surface of the light-emitting element 10 and the light-transmitting member 20, each extending from the joining area and protruding outside the joining area. At the same time, a first reflection surface for reflecting the emitted light to a side of the light-transmitting member 20 is provided on an outer surface of the first covering area. |
