The invention relates to labelling machines for applying labels from a continuous label strip. The present labelling machine comprises a frame, on which is mounted a conveyor for supplying and removing cylindrical containers, a container separating device, a driving vacuum drum, a feed device for supplying a continuous label strip from a reel to the surface of the vacuum drum, an applicator device for applying an adhesive to the label strip, a cutting device for subsequently cutting the strip into individual labels, a rolling device for rolling a label onto a container, an adhesive warming device, and also devices for driving, synchronizing and adjusting the machine itself, wherein a reservoir for the preparation of adhesive has mounted therein a gluing drum, which, like the reservoir for the preparation of adhesive, has disposed therein built-in adhesive warming devices, and wherein the rolling device for rolling a label onto a container is flat and is covered with a resilient material. The driving vacuum drum is provided with a set of removable rings or discs with shoulders of different heights, the outside diameter of a ring or disc being equal to the outside diameter of the drum; the conveyor for supplying and removing cylindrical containers has a height adjustment mechanism; and the lower part of the frame of the machine has sockets with screw-in supports for adjusting the height of the machine in order to align the working surfaces of the conveyor for supplying and removing cylindrical containers with the working surfaces of the preceding and subsequent machines in the processing line. |
