PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic strengthening structure using a synthetic fiber rope capable of preventing an architectural structure from completely collapsing by controlling an earthquake impact force alleviation and deformation of the architectural structure.SOLUTION: A synthetic fiber rope member 25 is used as a member consisting a brace in order to resist an external force such as earthquake on an architectural structure. The elasticity of the synthetic fiber rope member 25 is used to resist a deformation of the architectural structure due to earthquake force, and the synthetic fiber rope member 25 comprises two synthetic fiber ropes with different elasticity so that an impact force of the earthquake can be reduced. One rope is a spring rope 27, which functions as a spring that is easily elongated and absorbs the external force, and the other rope is a limiter rope 26, which is hardly elongated and longer than the spring rope and prevents the deformation above a certain level of the architectural structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
