Steel for ethanol storage and transport equipment: containing, in mass%, C: 0.02-0.3%, Si: 0.01-1.0%, Mn: 0.1-2.0%, P: 0.003-0.03%, S: 0.01% or less, Al: 0.005-0.100%, and N: 0.0010-0.010%, the Al to N content ratio satisfying 2.0 ≤ Al/N ≤ 70.0; also containing at least one selected from a group of W: 0.010-0.5% and Mo: 0.010-0.5%; containing at least one selected from a group of Sb: 0.01-0.5% and Sn: 0.01-0.3%; and the balance being obtained from Fe and unavoidable impurities. |
