PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal reflection type liquid crystal display element which can be manufactured at a low cost. SOLUTION: A transparent scanning electrode 3 and a signal electrode 4 are formed on the internal surfaces of a front side substrate 1 and a back side substrate 2, respectively. A plated film 6, consisting of a light-reflecting metal, is adhered to the surface of the signal electrode 4 formed on the internal surface of the back side substrate 2 and incident light is reflected by the plated film 6. |
