<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking device not required to remove after inspection a marking marked for the surface defect of a steel sheet by manual work or a separate removing device. SOLUTION: Temporary marking is made by a laser beam by a temporary marking device 4 via a temporary marking head 5 when the surface defect of the steel sheet 1 is detected on an inlet side by a surface defect detector 2, the temporary marking head 5 is moved together with the steel sheet 1 by a tracking device 7, and the marking by an ink is applied onto a surface defect portion by a marking device 9 via a marking head 10 when an inspecting person P operates a marking start-up device 8 manually after the inspection. Instead of applying the temporary marking, an image pick-up head 11 may be moved together with the steel sheet 1 by the tracking device 7 while the surface defect portion is image-picked up by the image pick-up head 11 and while displaying it by a display 13.</p> |
