PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amino alcohol or its pharmacologically acceptable salt that has excellent immunosuppressant action. SOLUTION: The amino alcohol is represented by general formula (I) (wherein R1and R2are each H or a lower alkyl; R3is a lower alkyl; n is 2 or 3; X is a S atom or an N atom which may be substituted with a lower alkyl; Y is a group bearing a structure represented by the formula: -C(=O)-CH2-; Z is an ethylene or the like; R4is an aryl or a substituted aryl; R5is H, a halogen atom or a low alkyl wherein when R1and R2are each H, R5is a halogen atom or a low alkyl).
