<p>Method for making an injection-molded plastic part (60) which contains a ceramic or glass insert (50) comprises: (a) positioning the insert in the cavity of an injection molding machine; (b) adjusting the closing of the mold so that the force on the insert is below a maximum value; and (c) injecting polymer so that the insert is wholly or partially embedded in it. Independent claims are included for: (a) a rapid diagnosis apparatus prepared using the method in which the insert acts as a heater; and (b) an analysis chip prepared using the method in which the insert is made from glass and has a free surface, to which reagents can be applied.</p> |
