PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a liquid held in a waste liquid absorbing material 600 from short-circuiting with the other member in a liquid jetting apparatus. SOLUTION: The liquid jetting apparatus comprises a liquid jetting head having an electrically-conductive nozzle plate 260 and delivering the liquid to an article to be recorded from its opening, an absorbing member 420 which is arranged to oppose the nozzle plate 260 in the liquid delivering direction, absorbs the liquid which does not reach an article to be recorded and has porosity and electric conductivity, an electrode 430 electrically connected to the absorbing member, an electric potential difference generating means 700 for generating an electric potential difference between the nozzle plate 260 and the electrode 430 and attracting electrically the liquid to the electrode 430 side, the waste liquid absorbing material 600 having a lower porosity than that for the absorbing member 420 and holding the liquid absorbed in the absorbing member 420 by brought at least a part of it into contact with the absorbing member 420, and a holding part 800 electrically insulating the waste liquid absorbing material 600 from the surroundings and holding it.
