An image forming device and a job management method thereof are provided to store only the printing data of an uncommon part between a new printing job and the previously stored printing job by comparing the printing data of both printing jobs. A comparing/extracting part(121,122) extracts the printing data and position information of the uncommon part to the previously stored printing job from the new printing job. A table generator(123) generates an index table of the new printing job including the position information of the extracted uncommon part and an ID of the previously stored printing job. A storing part(170) stores the printing data of the extracted uncommon part and the generated index table of the new printing job. A controller(180) transfers the printing data of the uncommon and common part to a printing part(160) by referring to the ID of the original printing job and the position information of the uncommon part from the index table of the new printing job in case that a printing command for the new printing job is inputted.
