PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that conventional swingable monitor cameras, can not photograph directions out of the visual field nor follow an object's movement. SOLUTION: An object-detecting and automatic tracking device is provided with a detecting sensor which can detect an object existing in a detection area; and a stopping sensor. When the detecting sensor detects an object in its detection area, the stopping sensor turns to the detecting direction of the detecting sensor. When detecting the object, the stopping sensor stops turning. When the object moves out of the detection area of the stopping sensor, the detecting sensor detects the object, and, at the same time, the stopping sensor turns to the detecting direction to track the moving object. One or more detecting sensors are arranged around the stopping sensor. A turning-restriction part is provided, which restricts the turning ranges of the detecting sensor and stopping sensor. A monitor camera and/or an alarming device are provided, and they are operated in association with the detecting sensor and stopping sensor. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
