<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sine wave RMS value detector capable of detecting an RMS value with reduced delay in response by simple computation using an inexpensive CPU. <P>SOLUTION: The absolute value of the amplitude of a sine-wave signal as a detection target becomes equal to the RMS value of that sine-wave signal at multiple times t1, t3, t4, t6 within one cycle. The absolute values L1, L2, L3, L4 of the amplitude values of received sine-wave signals are detected at these times. The average value of the multiple absolute values of the detected amplitude is computed, and the computed average value is outputted as the RMS value of the received sine-wave signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
