<p>A method for using a main board of a computer as a CID(Caller ID) display device is provided to display CID information of an incoming call to a monitor by enabling a user to input, modify, and correct the CID information through a keyboard, and storing the CID information to an embedded memory of the main board. A user inputs CID information of each customer by using a main board of a computer. The main board stores the received CID information to a hard disk. A first process performs a CID mode when a ring signal is received while a CID setting program for switching a computer mode, which is a default mode, into the CID mode is not installed. A second process performs the CID mode when the CID setting program is installed. The first process is performed by switching the computer mode to the CID mode simultaneously with the ring signal, displaying the CID information to a screen(716), inputting and modifying the CID information with a keyboard(720), storing the inputted information to the hard disk(721), and switching the CID mode to the computer mode in termination of the call(723).</p> |
