摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a membrane-electrode assembly (MEA) capable of restraining deterioration of characteristics of a polymer electrolyte membrane and realizing a suitable connection state between an electrolyte membrane and a catalyst layer. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for an MEA includes a process wherein a first catalyst ink including a catalyst component and a first solvent capable of dissolving the electrolyte membrane is applied on the surface of the electrolyte membrane and the surface of the electrolyte membrane is roughened by dissolving actions of the first solvent and the catalyst component is laminated on the surface of the electrolyte membrane roughened by volatilizing the first solvent in the first catalyst ink; a process wherein a second catalyst ink including a catalyst component same as or different from the former catalyst component and a second solvent inferior to the first solvent in dissolving performance against the electrolyte membrane is applied on the catalyst component laminated in the former process and the catalyst component is laminated by volatilizing the second solvent in the second catalyst ink and a catalyst layer integrated with the electrolyte membrane is formed on the surface of the electrolyte membrane. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
