<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission system and an optical transmission device, capable of immediately identifying a section where a fault occurs. <P>SOLUTION: An optical transmission device includes: a band separation section 8-2-3 that demultiplexes a multiplexed signal received from a pre-stage into first and second band signals and branches the second band signal of a wavelength separation section; a multiplexing section 8-2-6 that multiplexes the first band signal and a second band signal newly added and transmits the multiplexed signal to a subsequent stage; and a pseudo light source 7-1 that outputs a signal of a wavelength to the multiplexing section, the signal of the wavelength which is included in the first band and indicates a transmission path section between the pre-stage device and an own device when a fault is detected based on the received multiplexed signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
