PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel means for producing RD-114 virus-free feline or canine vaccine.SOLUTION: A transgenic cells using Felis-derived cells as an original strain is obtained by artificially knocking out infection env genes of RD-114 virus inherent in the genome of the original strain. By artificially knocking out the infection env gene of RD-114 virus inherent in the genome of the original strain, the Felis-derived cells can be transformed into RD-114 virus-free cells, and further, by applying the transgenic cells to feline or canine vaccine production, RD-114 virus-free feline or canine vaccines can be produced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
