PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive for driving a light emitting element.SOLUTION: A drive includes a rectification circuit and a current drive circuit. The rectification circuit includes at least one rectifier diode. The rectifier diode straddles between a DC power supply line and a ground line, and is connected to an AC input power supply to generate a DC power supply. The current drive circuit includes at least one constant current source. The constant current source is connected in series between the DC power supply line and the ground line, together with a light emitting element. The constant current source can supply a constant current that drives the light emitting element. Both of the rectifier diode and the constant current source are formed on a single semiconductor chip.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
