In this colorimetry device and colorimetry method, reference chart definition information including at least reference chart identification information of a reference color chart and patch position definition information indicating the positions of a plurality of patches in the reference color chart are stored, and a determination is made as to whether an acquired color chart matches the reference color chart on the basis of the reference chart identification information. When it is determined that the acquired color chart matches the reference color chart, the position of a colorimetry unit is moved relative to the color chart to the positions of the plurality of patches of the color chart on the basis of the reference chart definition information, and the color of each of the plurality of patches is measured by the colorimetry unit. |
