A stroke detection device 40 is provided with: a coil spring 41 disposed in a cylinder tube 10, a load of the coil spring 41 changing in accordance with the amount of forward/backward movement of a piston rod 20 with respect to the cylinder tube 10; a load cell 42 for detecting the load of the coil spring 41; and a computation device 45 for computing the stroke of a cylinder 100 on the basis of the load of the coil spring 41 detected by the load cell 42. |
