PREVENTION OF MASTITIS OF MILK COW, AGENT FOR SEALING PAPILLA, AND PRESCRIPTION CONTAINER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing the mastitis of a milk cow, capable of preventing the invasion of mastitis-causing bacteria from papillary foramenina into papillal in the early time of a milk cow dry period and in the papillary foramenina-opened period close to the birth of the milk cow. SOLUTION: This method for preventing the mastitis of a milk cow comprises dipping the papilla of the milk cow in a papilla-sealing agent to form a thin film on the papilla and holding the papilla in the papillary foramenina-sealed state for about two to nine days in the dry period of the milk cow and for about two to nine days before the birth of the milk cow, because the milk cow is liable to be infected with mastitis-causing bacteria in the dry period. The infection of the mastitis-causing bacteria can thereby physically be stopped. The formation of the thin film of the papilla-sealing agent on the papilla in the dry period of the milk cow and in the papillary foramenina-opened period close to the birth stops the invasion of the mastitis-causing bacteria from the papillary foramenina into the papilla.
