The device has a first document unit containing content and formatting defining at least one page of a document and combined with a first visual representation on a display, a document ticket unit standing for global document attributes combined with a second visual representation, a page unit for page attributes combined with a third visual representation and a first input unit for selective combination of at least two of the visual representations. A second input unit enables generation of a page object and page unit by selecting page attributes and one or more pages with appropriate attributes. Combining the first, second and third representations causes association of the respective units.
