PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical intensity modulating method for controlling the propagation of a light by changing the light transmissivity of a medium in an optical path and also bearing a repeated usage and to provide an element for it. SOLUTION: The method is characterized to change the light transmissivity of the medium by heating a medium consisting of an optically transparent organopolysiloxane by a seal system and generating air bubbles in the medium. |
