There is disclosed a video data recording apparatus in which video data recorded in an HDD is decoded, and converted to that of a broadcasting system other than that of the video data by a broadcasting system conversion section. The converted video data is supplemented by a frame synchronizer, compressed, and thereafter recorded in a DVD.
