摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide imaging apparatus capable of acquiring a high sensitivity image with a simple configuration by employing an imaging device adopting the Bayer arrangement. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with: an imaging sensor 15 adopting the Bayer arrangement; a pixel summating section 20 for summating a plurality of pixel values to calculate a new pixel value; a pixel interpolation section 31 for obtaining each component channel value of a pixel at each pixel position of the imaging sensor 15 through interpolation; and a matrix arithmetic section 35 for carrying out color conversion on the basis of each component channel value after the pixel interpolation. In the case of generating the high sensitivity image (a high sensitivity monochromatic image or the like), the pixel interpolation section 31 uses the same prescribed interpolation filter as that for color image generation and obtains each pseudo color component value after the interpolation on the basis of the new pixel value after the summation by the pixel summating section 20 as each component channel value, and the matrix arithmetic section 35 uses a color conversion matrix different from that used when a color image stands still to generate a luminance signal on the basis of each component channel value after the interpolation.
