FIELD: electrical and electromechanical engineering; large horizontal-shaft alternating-current machines such as induction motors with end-shield bearings. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed stator of horizontal-shaft electrical machine that has wound core, fame, and fastenings for locking core within frame incorporating locking key secured in top part of frame is characterized in that diameter of core seating surface on this frame equals that of core and seating surfaces of stator frame for end shields as well as those for core are coaxial; novelty is that seating surfaces for end shields have larger diameter than those for stator core. ^ EFFECT: enhanced precision of core locking within stator frame and reduced labor consumption for stator manufacture. ^ 1 cl, 2 dwg
