<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an electrode for an electricity storage element which, during manufacture and use, has less tendency to experience separation/fall-off at a layer provided for preventing short circuits or serving other functions and/or an active material layer; and an electricity storage element. <P>SOLUTION: An electrode 10 for an electricity storage element includes: a current collector foil 11; an active material layer 12 formed on at least one surface of the current collector foil 11; and a high-resistance layer 40 formed on the surface of the current collector foil 11 and adjacent to the active material layer 12. In the electrode 10, a mixed phase 51 containing constituents of the active material layer 12 and the high-resistance layer 40 is formed at at least a portion of an interface 50 between the two layers 12 and 40. The interface 50 between the active material layer 12 and the high-resistance layer 40 has the mixed phase 51, and thereby a join between the two adjacent layers 12 and 40 is made firm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
