IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD AND IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method and an image processing system which are capable of properly and efficiently correcting information relating to a reproduction characteristic of print data while reflecting a state relating to a printer.

SOLUTION: An MFP determines whether correction of a profile being information relating to the reproduction characteristic of print data is necessary or not (S202). When determining that it is necessary (YES in S203), the MFP outputs a preliminarily set standard chart (S205) and measures an output result by an image measurement part provided in the MFP (S206) and calculates a difference profile being correction data on the basis of a measurement result (S207) and transmits the calculated difference profile to a RIP server (S208). The RIP server corrects the profile on the basis of the difference profile received from the MFP.
