<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) apparatus capable of obtaining useful diagnostic information in an imaging site such as a heart by imaging by use of an IR method in which TI is properly set. <P>SOLUTION: This MRI apparatus includes a calculation means and an imaging unit. The calculation means calculates the inversion time for imaging by analyzing a plurality of magnetic resonance signals or a plurality of image data of a subject that correspond to a plurality of inversion times of different inversion recovery methods.
