PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor system for executing complicated image information processing at high speed. SOLUTION: The sensor system is provided with: a sensor element group 1 composed of a plurality of sensor elements 2 each of which includes an optical sensor 3 and a radio communication means 4; an intermediate element group 10 composed of a plurality of intermediate elements 11 each of which includes a radio communication means 13 and an operation means 12; and a system management means 20 including a radio communication means 25 and managing the system. The intermediate element group 10 constitutes at least one or more layers, intermediate elements 11 belonging to each layer respectively input outputs from the plurality of sensor elements 2 or operation results of intermediate elements 11 belonging to a plurality of lower layers to execute operation.
