PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability in gripping a workpiece while a maximum number of bearing surfaces of a clamp for measurement are disposed. SOLUTION: A storage groove 14 is disposed longitudinally in a lateral width central part on the top surface of a rectangular base, the front surface of the base is provided with an immobile jaw 11 below the front space of the storage groove, a movable jaw 2 facing the immobile jaw is stored in the base vertically movably in the front space of the storage groove, a rocking lever 3 is supported in the base vertically rockably in the rear space of the storage groove, converting sections 6 for vertically converting the rocking motion of the rocking lever into vertical movement of the movable jaw are disposed in the rear part of the movable jaw and at the front end of the rocking lever, and a spring 5 for pushing up the rocking lever is interposed between the rear part of the rocking lever and the base.
