<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt retractor which achieves suitable webbing winding operation by reducing idling time of a pinion gear body in a pretensioner mechanism thereby to suppress variation until the webbing winding is started, and also achieves smooth operation of the pretensioner mechanism by suppressing friction between members during operation of the pretensioner mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The pretensioner mechanism is equipped with: a driving device; the pinion gear body; a first rotator fixed coaxially with the pinion gear body; a second rotator disposed between a sidewall part of a housing and the first rotator; and an engaging member engaged with a winding drum by the first rotator and the second rotator. The second rotator is a resin member having a projection on its surface making contact with the sidewall part of the housing. The projection is engaged with the sidewall part of the housing and assembled coaxially with the pinion gear body. The resin member rotates relative to the first rotator while maintaining a stationary state in the initial stage of rotation of the pinion gear body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
