Provided are a liquid crystal panel (10) and a liquid crystal display. The liquid crystal panel (10) comprises: a first substrate (11); a second substrate (12) disposed opposite to the first substrate (11); a liquid crystal layer (13) that is clamped to the first substrate (11) and the second substrate (12) and comprises a plurality of liquid crystal molecules; and an electrode structure (14) that is disposed on at least one of the first substrate (11) and the second substrate (12) and generates, under voltage control, an electric field in the liquid crystal layer (13) so as to deflect the liquid crystal molecules under the action of the electric field. The liquid crystal molecules comprise positive liquid crystal molecules (24, 44) and negative liquid crystal molecules (25, 45). The first substrate (11) and the second substrate (12) are divided into a plurality of pixel areas. Each pixel area is further divided into at least two sub-pixel areas (21, 22, 31, 32, 41, 42, 51, 52). For different sub-pixel areas (21, 22, 31, 32, 41, 42, 51, 52) of the same pixel area, corresponding liquid crystal molecules have different initial orientations or electrode structures (14) are different. By means of the liquid crystal panel (10), transmittance of the liquid crystal display is improved. |
