PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card processing device configured to reliably detect a card inserted in the device and a position thereof, regardless of presence/absence of an opaque part formed in the card or a formation position thereof in the card.SOLUTION: A card processing device includes: a first card detection section 180 arranged in a first position in a conveyance path 118; a second card detection section 182 arranged in a second position apart from the first card detection section 180; and a third card detection section 184 arranged in a third position apart from the second card detection section 182. The card processing device controls a conveyance mechanism 112, on the basis of output signals output from the above detection sections. Each of the first to third card detection sections 180, 182, 184 includes a roller that moves from a standby position to a displacement position due to contact with a card 120 conveyed, and a sensor for sensing displacement of the roller. On the basis of the output signals indicating card detection or card non-detection, insertion of the card 120 and a position thereof are determined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
