PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor capable of reducing the operating sound.SOLUTION: An electric motor includes an anode brush 30a and a cathode brush 30b which slide on a plurality of segments 16 arranged on the rotary sliding surface of a commutator 14 in the circumferential direction thereof, and feeding power to coils coupled to the segments 16, a torsion coil spring 34 provided for each anode brush 30a and cathode brush 30b, presses the proximal ends thereof and energizes each brush 30a, 30b toward the commutator 14, and a conductive brush housing section for housing the anode brush 30a, cathode brush 30b, and torsion coil spring 34. At the proximal end of at least one of the anode brush 30a and cathode brush 30b, inclined planes 33a, 33b for receiving the pressing force by the torsion coil spring 34, and inclining the proximal end in the opposite direction to the rotation direction of the commutator 14 are provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
