PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a rotor in which the coercive force can be enhanced at a part susceptible to demagnetization, without using a magnet of complex structure, and a cavity is difficult to occur around the magnet.SOLUTION: A rotor includes a plurality of permanent magnets (153) divided into a plurality of division pieces (154A, 154B) in the radial direction. Two division pieces (154A, 154B) out of the plurality of division pieces (154A, 154B) have end faces of trapezoidal shape in the circumferential direction, and rectangular end faces along axial direction. The division piece (154A) arranged on the radial outside, out of the two division pieces, is thinner on the delay side in the rotational direction than the lead side in the rotational direction, has a surface layer (155) containing a demagnetization suppressing material on the surface, and one end face in the thick side, out of two division pieces (154A, 154B), is located farther outside of a slot (152) for magnet in the circumferential direction, than the other end face on the thin side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
