PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methods to address a loss of information within an audio frame.SOLUTION: A task T100 calculates an estimate of coding dependence of a first frame that precedes a second frame in an audio signal. A task T200 calculates a threshold value, based on information relating to a state of a transmission channel. A task T300 compares the calculated estimate to the calculated threshold value. Based on a result of the comparison, a task T350 decides to transmit a redundant copy of the first frame.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4A
