PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid damage of an engine regardless of the environment outside a vehicle.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle 100 travels by driving force of one or both of an engine 110 and a motor 120. The hybrid vehicle includes: a travel mode changeover section 160 for switching a plurality of travel modes including a motor travel mode for traveling by a motor prior to the engine and an engine combination mode for traveling by combination use of the motor and engine, and a condition determination section 168 for determining whether or not a predetermined bad road condition is satisfied. The travel mode changeover section starts the engine when the engine is stopped and inhibits the stop of the engine while the bad condition is satisfied regardless of the travel mode at that point of time when it is determined that the bad road condition is satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
